I only attempted hand chasing threads once, and that was under the guidance of Allen Batty. His video, up on You Tube, is the best I have seen. I did a work shop with Bonnie Klein, and learned to use her threading jig. It worked nicely, but she doesn't make them any more. There are a lot of fans of the Baxter threading jig. Not sure about the one from Chef's Ware, or what ever their name actually is. With hand chasing threads, the number of woods that work well with that is rather restricted. With the power threaders, you can get threads in just about anything.
