I certainly can't do anything but agree with your first point, although I don't generally find the Beall collet chuck on the spindle to limit me, sizewise, or safety-wise, compared to a much larger and more dangerous scroll chuck. Honestly, I always find it "refreshing" to use it -- particularly in contrast to step jaws or pin jaws on a scroll chuck (which I have completely stopped using since I got the Beall)! Wanna buy mine? ;-) But, yeah, yours is smaller! ;-)

As to your second point, I have a 1/2" Morse-taper Jacobs continuously-variable-size chuck for drilling, and I'm not sure how having a number of fixed-size Morse-taper collet chucks would be an improvement on that. Am I missing something? ...GG
