Eyeglass case pt II *PIC*

Raymond in Trenton NJ
Hi everyone,

Last week in response to John Lucas' "what are you doing" post, I showed a practice eyeglass case (tube?) in poplar. A taller and thinner lidded box than I've ever done. Worked out well enough and keep my shop readers clean. I finished the 'good' case in bocote. What else would one put their very posh $3 Tractor Supply readers in? :D

I eliminated the dopey looking finial (was really an afterthought) and think the top works better, specially with the grain. Still got some chatter in the bottom, but less than the poplar.

Finish is homebrew friction polish topped with beeswax. Just under 8" tall and ID is 1 1/8". This was a god learning exercise.

Thanks for looking.
Raymond
