Beads of Boredom *PIC*

Don Orr
Somewhat in jest. Playing in my shop during this social isolation. Fishing around in one of my turning drawers I came across the bead mandrel that I bought from Ruth Niles several years ago at our local woodworking show. Never used it before, so I gave it a try. Many of you probably have it. It's basically an 8d duplex nail with a few minor modifications. I dug out my box of tiny scraps that are too good do toss and went to town. This is 2 afternoons of fun-62 total. Woods include ebony, cocobolo, kingwood, paduak, bloodwood, yellowheart, maple burl, and a nuisance tree from my yard buckthorn, and others. All are sanded and oiled on the lathe.
