I have three CBN wheels, 80, 180 and 800. The two coarser grit wheels are on a Woodcraft no name grinder and the 800 is on a Jet slow speed wet grinder without the water. If I were buying now, I’d go with an 80 and an 800 on the Woodcraft Grinder. I hardly ever use the 180 grit. At the AAW Symposium last year, I asked Ken Rizza about grinding softer metals and he confided to me that he uses his to sharpen lawn mower blades. I wouldn’t use them to grind aluminum though.
