I tend to agree with John
I've tried Clay's and honestly prefer the bevel-rub/peeling cut you can get with a D-Way beading tool.
That being said, I have hit times when I had an unacceptable amount of tear-out even with D-Way, so I raised the handle and went to a negative rake scrap to finish the bead.
