Don Here is my video on turning beads. I think it covers the way Clay does it. The new Dway bead cutting tools do work with a bevel rubbing. The secret to using those is to rock the tool gently back and forth and stop just as it reaches the top of the bead. If you go any further the top of the bead won't be as clean. Harvey Meyer does his basket weave bowls with that tools and never has to sand any of the beads. I don't have one yet but I'm saving my money.
