Re: home made mini lathe. *PIC*

Dennis in Southern Oregon
Here is my first lathe, bought about 52 years ago specifically to turn two 6" D by 13" H pedestals for a cobbler's bench that I was making. The basic lathe, advertised in Popular Mechanics Magazine, cost $12.98, including dead centers and a 3" faceplate. The optional motor was another $20.00. Having served its purpose, it sat idle for about 30 years until I retired, and while casting about for something to do, hauled it out and began my addiction. BTW, the Oneway was just a convenient well-lighted spot to take the picture.
