It reminded me again of an extremely creative man with a tiny shop in Venice - with no common language we "discussed" woodturning with gestures and pencil. I gave him some finger tops. He wanted to show me his lathe and brought it out from the back room. It was a Dewalt electric drill held on the bench with a clamp. I think the tailstock was a nail in a piece of wood.

Here is is in the shop window. The workshop space wasn't much bigger than the window.
