Turning

Just finished this one up. 14" piece of Yellow Heart. Never tried it in a basket illusion before and I'm not sure I like it. Yellow is a bright color but it still makes some of the colors seem subdued. However, it turns nicely and doesn't tear out in the beading process.

I put a detailed Herringbone weave on this one that's keyed to the index lines. Made me cross eyed doing it but it seems to have turned out pretty well. And the wife did a nice beaded center piece.

This one goes to the Eastern Maine Wood Turners meeting next Thursday evening. I'll take along one similar but without any rim design just to show the differences.
