Because he used the word "cup" the first thing that came to my mind was the large aluminum cup that screws onto the 3/4" 10 tpi threads. NOT the thingie that allows you to attach a chuck to the live center.
So we really don't know which he means. Of course this is also second hand with the actual message not available.
Gets confussing with 2 possibilities here. If he was talking about the chuck adapter why would he use the word "cup"?
I don't know, but if that is it, surely he knows he could go to "Oneway" for that piece, maybe. This is the cup that you can center square pieces into.
Now you can read the above and see the scary way my mind works as I ramble on with what comes to mind. I know it scare the "H" out of me, so that is a good thing!
