Turning
slharder
I'll get a pic some time.
But not much too it
- used new sump pump hose (made sure it was thin and flexible)
- ran it from a cheap bathroom vent fan located 20ft away
- hose comes down from ceiling and loops up my back
- velcro strapped to back of headband on Uvex faceshield
- and continues up over top of headband and ends in faceshield brow
- and attached small piece of ripstop nylon from brow shield as sort of a cap to keep dust from settling onto top of head
I get a nice airwash across inside of faceshield, but it doesn't really touch my skin, not really noticeable except whisper of air moving.
I work hard to capture dust when sanding with a DC but this keeps my eyes (and lungs) very happy.
I wear it for most of my rough turning, especially with any wood that is dusty.
Someday I'll probably pop for a powered helmet, but this gets the job done with no batteries to charge, and it doesn't add much weight to my (already too big) head.
