This was inspired by an actual game on 11/17/18, in which a team scored 8 points on two successive plays, not a touchdown followed by a two-point conversion.
There are, as far as I can determine, four ways in which an American Football team can score 8 points on two successive plays.
The obvious one is a touchdown followed by a two-point conversion.
What are the other three?
BTW, the answer is true for college football, and I think NFL as well, although I am not that big an NFL fan.
