I can understand the joy of owning one of your machines that meet your criteria. I don't think these attributes are of any importance in woodworking drilling. Drilling a hole accurate to 0.001" is a material that moves around as much as wood doesn't provide observable benefit. Which is probably what did in the US made drills. These attributes had little relevance to the home market drilling wood or occasional metal. This market was unwilling to pay for "machine shop" quality.
