Re: OT- Home Weather Station?

I mounted mine on a 2 x 4 that hangs on the north end of my storage building. The 2x4 is supported by an L-hook and eye bolt at the top. There is an adjustable mount at the bottom that allows me to fine tune the north alignment to compensate for twist in the 2x4. The reason I did this is that spiders like to get inside the housing and lock up the rain gauge tipper. I can lower and raise the station by myself. I made a heay sheet metal V shaped guide to help guide the eye onto the the hook at the top.
