Re: OT- Home Weather Station?

Your station needs to be in the open, fully exposed, for most accurate reading. Buildings and trees have substantial wind shadows, and shade will affect data readings. Even on a building ridgeline, reflection affects temperature.

There are several stations at nearly my elevation, within a mile and temperatures vary up to ten degrees. I say near my elevation since I'm very close to the water on Puget Sound. It has weather patterns often far different than 300 to 400 feet where I am, a mile inland.
