Hi Mike,

You may be interested in the article I wrote (link), especially when it involves evaporative finishes like shellac or lacquer.

Small Tips:
A. If your rig came with a whip hose (more flexible) don't make the mistake of bypassing the main hose. Using the full length of hose will help dissipate the turbine's heating the air.
B. Pay attention to and use the viscosity to get the proper atomization. Some waterborne/based finishes will work straight from the can, but other heavier must be thinned.
