I could see a log section quickly turning to useless cracked pie pieces The stuff does not have a lot of tensile strength. Makes good barbeque wood though, one of the guys at the shop in Tucson used to save all the scraps he could (sans epoxy) for making Carne Asada. Just don't stick it in the fireplace - the one time I tried that the house smelled especially smokey for about a week afterwards.
