Restoring color to exterior cedarRalph Lipeles
This summer I had to repaint my shed. The shed is sided with painted pine boards and has 3 built up natural color cedar doors. I first power washed the shed and doors. The pine cleaned up nicely and only required a small amount of local sanding. The doors are still quite a bit darkened. I used to clean up darkened exterior wood with a Cabots product. I understand that it was calssified as an environmental problem and is no longer available. Is there something else that I can use to restore the natural cedar color? Should the doors then be sealed?
