My son (an EMT in VA) has gotten his first vaccination about a week ago and has been scheduled for the second. We intend to get ours as soon as they are available here. The state of NJ has already figured out where we will get it (a local grocery store with pharmacy and clinic) and which "phase" we are assigned to. We have already registered with the state, and they will notify us when we can get the first vaccination. Curiously, although I am over 70, with medical conditions that would probably make the disease much more serious, the medical conditions have not helped move me up in priority. I am assigned the same phase as my wife who is under 70. There is no need to comment on fairness of allocations or lack thereof; every state is different because they have to make a very difficult decision for themselves, with little help or coordination from the Federal government.
