It's really easy to stick some packing tape to the inside of the valve. That's what I do to all of mine before I wear them for the first time. No one is the wiser, because no one asks about the valve. I don't go anywhere except out to my shop and the dog run, and the few places my wife goes, she is very, very careful, so the probability of my catching it is pretty low, but I sure wouldn't want to be responsible for spreading it to someone else.
