Sliding Door questionBarry Irby
I am building a console to go under my son's giant TV. It's 7' long and has a bank of drawers and two sliding doors. I made a 3/8" groove top and bottom for the doors to slide in. Cut a tongue on the edges of the doors. White oak on white oak. They don't slide as well as I would like. Does anyone make a little "Shoe" or some such thing to add to the bottom to cut the friction?
Thought about a round headed nail but I am afraid the weight of the doors would just round out the bottom groove over time. Probably should have Engineered this earlier.
