Have you thought of cutting a wooden plug that pretty closely matches the part that you tore out, then just use what you have to fill in around and bond it into place? Otherwise sawdust or sanding dust, but adding almost anything else will make it heavier and more likely to sag than the lightweight colloidal silica which can be added up to peanut butter thickness without ruining it.
