Subject:
SURVEY: Ides of September +8

Ellis Walentine
As you may know, we have a bi-monthly column in Woodworker West magazine called "News & Views" where we offer up collections of your thoughts on various and sundry woodworking topics. The topic I'm proposing here today is all about your woodworking motives and goals: What role does "making stuff" play in your life -- making functional things for yourself and others? things for sale? artistic statements? tactual pleasures? all of the above? What are your ambitions for building new skills or reaching new heights of accomplishment? Is there one particular bucket-list project that you would like to do before you go to your great reward (besides amassing all the tools in the world)?

As the title of this post suggests, I'm eight days late with this survey, so I'd like to have your thoughts in the next few days if possible to keep me on deadline.

Thanks for participating!
