No pith in tree roots *LINK*

Dr. Shigo taught us years ago to be careful with our language. Functionally there's no pith in dicots. there is a center...sort of...in roots, but not like in the stem.

Roots are so interesting. The functions of root parts are completely different that above ground parts. Too often we're taught that the stem/branches and roots are a monoclast. Can't be further from the truth.
