My grandmother raised guineas and one of the first things I learned about them when I was a kid was not to chase a guinea hen and her chicks. That mother will go right for your face! I vaguely remember eating guinea and guinea eggs but that was over 70 years ago.

I also remember helping pluck chickens and although that was over 70 years ago I am sure I would instantly recognize the smell of a scalded chicken today.
