Book suggestion

Don Stephan
Not quite finished yet, as I only read a few pages at lunch, but I've found Richard Jones' book Cut & Dried to be an excellent reference book for woodworkers, especially flat woodworking. There is some overlap with information in Bruce Hoadley's excellent book Understanding Wood, but I find them complimentary, not duplicative. Mr. Hoadley writes as a wood technology scientist for woodworkers, Mr. Jones clearly writes as a woodworker, presenting a wide range of reference material. And the content of Mr. Jones' book benefits greatly from photographs supplied by frequent WoodCentral contributor Bill Tindall.

In my opinion both of these books should be in every committed woodworker's go-to bookshelf.
