clamp alignment an issue also?

Over the years I've seen info published about aligning the clamp screw head with the center of the board. Probably to help keep the panel flat, keep it from bowing. On 8/4 stock, probably not much of an issue. On 4/4 stock I generally lift the clamp bar with my fingers to align screw close to center. This also solves the glue to metal discoloration issue.
