windows 10 or windows 7 ()

My wife has Win-7 - which I hate. I was a application programmer on mainframes, mini's, amd micro's for about 40 years. I liked Win-XP because I could configure it exactly the way I wanted. Win-7 has everything deeply hidden from the user.

When I could no longer run Win-XP (new computer) I moved to Win-8.1 which I love (with the Pokki Start Menu). My new netbook came with Win-10.1. I'm finding it vastly better than Win-7 even though I don't like the forced update and there isn't a Pokki start menu for it.

My biggest problem with forced updates is that my netbook is only on when I want to use it. I can delay updates till I'm through (or the next day) but I need to remember not to shut it off.
