Re: OT :Intercom in the shop

That's the same system we use. It works well here. The center of my shop is about 75 feet from the back door, and I don't have reception problems. The only issue I have with it is I sometimes have to search around the house to find a pile of hand sets and put them all back in their chargers. I don't understand why the dead battery issue never happens to the handset in the shop. :D

We also have backup systems. She sends me text messages on my cellphone which I carry in my pocket while I'm working. My MacBook usually accompanies me to the shop, so she can send me email, but I often have WiFi and cellular reception problems in the shop, so the backups are not so reliable.
