The picture illustrates the finish used for the chest of drawers.

Stain: General Finishes Prestain 76 weight %, burnt umber artist pigment 12%, linseed oil 12%. Rub on/rub off. This stain is lightfast because it is a mineral pigment.
Top coat: Sherwin Williams conversion varnish thinned 50% to achieve a close to the wood appearance. Apply, sand with 400 grit silicon carbide paper, recoat with a full wet coat.

The plaque is for a set of antlers for a friend.
