A properly tuned bandsaw with a high quality blade will.do a remarkably clean cut. Part of the problem is the feed rate. There was an article in American Woodturner a cew years ago on cutting glue joint ready staves on the badsaw. They used a weight on a ramp to.pull the work through the cut. I have.yet to try it but one of my friends did and the cut quality was fantastic. Ive also.seen paper thin veneers cut to.show off the high quality blades.
