Subject:
Jointing long, thick (and heavy) boards?

JL
I am trying to joint some boards for a table top. I've never jointed boards this long and thick before. The current thickness is about 1 1/2" or so. The lengths are about 100" and the widths are 7-9".

They "appear" to be fine by eye after jointing. When two boards are placed together there can be a 1/16" or so gap. A bit too much for even a spring joint and the gap is NOT intended.

Thoughts? I do have a 99" clamp guide.
