veneer flatening

I have never done it before gluing. In fact adding glycerin has got to interfere with glue bond so I never use it.

The glue itself provides ample plasticization of the veneer so that wrinkles are flattened. But then I apply glue to the veneer and most don't.

Once I got a slight bubble with some wrinkly walnut veneer. It was very old, brittle, and thick veneer like what was available years ago. When flexed it would break, it was that brittle. I shot some glue into the bubble, clamped it and it stuck.
