My shop is lighted mostly with T8 florescent lights. The life expectancy stated on the bulb packages is a joke. I find myself replacing bulbs routinely, and ballasts now and again.
Our power company has a financial incentive that would substantially fund my replacing the lights with LED shop lights. I looked at LED shop lights at a couple of local places. The boxes say the output is 4,000 lumens. The T8 bulbs are rated at 3,000 lumens. So for 2 T8 bulbs per fixture is the output 6,000 lumens? I'm not sure how to compare.
Any insight would be appreciated!
