Wow-this stuff is so far out of my league it's amazing. No idea how to build a winder or where or how to get parts to make one. If you get this to work at a reasonable cost I wish you luck.
I could never afford one of the "good" winders in the link from Jason let alone the watches that they wind. Many of those watches are worth WAY more than our house. They are amazing though-truly works of art. But do they have Indiglo like my Timex? Love the Indiglo!
As an aside, I took an Intro Astronomy course at a local college many years ago and we tried to learn about celestial time. Didn't understand it then and still don't. That someone makes watches that keep celestial time is beyond my apparently stone-age comprehension.
Jeff-please don't take this as a negative post. I found your inquiry very interesting and educational. I did not know any of this existed before you brought it to our attention, so thanks for that.
