Harry - I have the Rockler Vortex unit, which seems to work fairly well with ordinary shop dust. I will be curious to see how it works with the sander once I get the hose.

Have you had any problems with the vacuum sucking the sander down to the surface you are sanding? I read somewhere that that can be a problem.
