I recently was going to replace my old PC 333VS, but I found the part I needed to fix it. However, my conclusion was to buy a reconditioned Bosch (I missed them at like $50 for a 5") based on what is available today. I have used Bosch's and DeWalt before, and always liked the Bosch too.

My favorite is the Right Angle old Porter Cables though.

Now, I only use Hook and Loop. I hated PSA discs when I got my sander, but I can see in a shop where you don't change why you might want them.

Most makers you can buy either pad for the bottom. A place like Klingspor or Amazon might have the pad. I got the last one for my PC from Amazon.
