Now this is more what I have in mind, except that I intend to angle the outriggers downward slightly to make it easier to examine boards. Are the outriggers captured in a triple support? That's my hold up at the moment. Joining 2x4 outriggers to existing 4x4 posts so that they will support maximum weight.

Thanks for the ideas so far. Bill, I like your rack, but I need to put everything up on one wall to make more usable floor space.
