Use it enjoy it. Sounds like you are a Duck hunter anyway. I have a few older guns that came from my Great Grandfather and then my Grandfather and my father. My father never used it neither did my Grand Father so I took it to a gunsmith had it checked out and I am now using it for at least targets.
