There are spray products out there that dogs find bad-tasting. You might try one of those, available at most pet stores. Not sure what it is about electrical wiring that animals find appealing. I had a woodchuck gnaw at the wires for my garage door safety eye and put it out of commission til I fixed it. We've lucked out with our current dog, she's never gnawed a thing outside of rawhides.
