For "Hog" wire or No climb I use two 2X4's bolted together and a pair of cable come-a-longs hooked to the 2bys with small (5/16") chain. For single wire I have a ratcheting wire fence stretcher that has built-in wire grabers, kinda reminds me of a sideways bumper jack. I haven't had much luck with wire / cable grips on noclimb, the vertical wires are too close together. More opportunity to buy tools, I mean who doesn't need a come-a-long or three.
