Subject:
air dried basswood

Ben Leclerc
>Hi everyone. I am a Windsor chairmaker who uses white pine for my seats. I would like to switch to basswood for its working and carving abilities, it also polishes out real nice.I am from southern New England (Rhode Island) and have searched high and low but with no luck other than kiln dried.I understand it can be had in northern New England. My question is,does anyone know of any sources for 2" by 8" to 10" wide AIR DRIED basswood I would be willing to travel a reasonable distance for it particularly Vermont,New Hampshire or Maine. Thanks to all in advance Ben Leclerc
