The bits are made by a Japanese company, Star-M, and called Woodowl. Here is their website:

The Ultra Smooth augers have a tri-cut action and are designed to be used in a power drill, but will fit and work well in a Bell brace.

I use the Overdrive bits in the drill press to mortice chair/stool. These bits do not have a screw, and do not, therefore, pull the workpiece off the table.
