Dream on if you think they're banana shaped and don't very likely also have some twist in the sole.

If you've ever had a cast iron plane that took too narrow a shaving given the grind/shape on the business end of the cutter, and had a shaving that along with being oddly narrow was thick on one side and very thin on the other (again, inexplicably given the grind and cutter projection), then you have a plane whose sole is twisted.

You can eff around FOR HOURS on a piece of junk like that which should never have made it out of the factory. Unfortunately, too many did.
