At first I thought you were confused because I had made a typo. On rereading my post, I found the typo was yours, not mine. A Neanderbuddy is the buddy of a Neanderthal, which is a euphemism for a hand tool woodworker, not used much anymore. The idea is that many hand tool woodworkers continue to use a bandsaw, especially those who have converted from a shop mostly filled with forked tailed apprentices. Probably the most famous instance of this dichotomy was James Krenov, who only had one power tool in his shop, a bandsaw.
