Tapered reamer

Re: question ()

I understand the concept. It is the tool to be used that I don't understand. I am familiar with a tapered reamer used for metal working. Such a reamer would surely work for this application. However they are expensive to buy and not likely to be owned by a woodworker. Is this the reamer you suggest or is there some woodworking equivalent I am unfamiliar with, or something that can be made for the task?
