Thanks, John - that's how I figured it would be made but wanted to confirm before going to the trouble to experiment heating and hammering. I'll need to make a sharp corner fixture as my anvil corners aren't quite up to that (but it shouldn't be hard as it's not going to be anything that gets heavy use).
