I recall peru being one of the four common current sources (though it may not be as common as it was at one point). The honduran is only of interest to me due to the fact that the new "junky" stuff is still very resonant in a guitar and about ideal weight for that resonance (70s guitars were heavy for sustain).

It may have been indonesia, peru, sri lanka and fiji - I can't keep straight which of those actually market swietenia macrophylla.

I know fiji does. I know that in the restricted zone, there may still be some allowance for snags and downed logs (or maybe only the latter).

I don't see many straight honduran quartered guitar blanks these days.
