Subject:
I don't understand your point

Bill Tindall, E.Tn.
You post seems to not be in any way related to my discussion of furniture that employed knots large and small and unrelated figured and nonfigured walnut wood in show surfaces. Yet the cherry and maple Pieces I could find were made of the best wood selection to yield a harmonious appearance.

What was your point in showing a picture of highly refined furniture where great care in wood selection was employed? I already provided that contrast with the furniture in the Connecticut Valley book and the refined furniture in the MESDA collection. Why was this care largely lacking out in Chester County? Lumber cost? Unrefined taste of maker or customer? Fashion?
